About The Opportunity

Programmed Facility Management has a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to kick start a career in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering by joining our operations based at various sites across Melbourne.

As a Graduate with Programmed you will play a key role in shaping the future of asset reliability, operational efficiency, and safety within the Business Improvement and Asset Management Team. You will be required to travel to site as needed.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with experienced engineers and leaders in the business, receiving ample mentorship and proper training to successfully carry out the tasks required for the role. You’ll be involved in initiatives ranging from developing data-driven business cases and conducting reliability analyses to optimizing processes that enhance asset performance. You will get exposure across several of our diverse initiatives within our Melbourne Water contract and be provided with a well-rounded experience in this 2-year fixed term contract.

You will meet with our senior leaders which will maximise your personal and professional development and be provided with countless opportunities to grow and develop long-term careers within our business. You will engage with our operations teams through structured rotations across our contracts. You’ll also be provided with core leadership development training workshops tailored to you delivered by our learning and development team. On top of that, you will be given opportunities to network and have one-to-one mentoring.

About you

Experience in a services or infrastructure maintenance environment is beneficial however not essential. To be successful in this role, you will have a ‘can-do’ attitude, a strong appetite to learn and genuine desire to pursue a career in facility management or an essential services industry. Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:

  • Bachelor of Engineering, ideally Electrical
  • Keen interest in continuous improvement and innovation
  • Commitment to building a long-term career
  • Excellent attention to detail and active listening skills
  • Motivation to succeed and a willingness to learn
  • Exceptional communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Effective time management & organisational skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office suite
  • Strong focus on safety in the workplace
