Following a recent review and restructuring of our operational systems in our Health Centre and Boarding Village, we are excited to announce multiple part-time and casual opportunities for dedicated and compassionate nurses to join our team.
The successful candidates for these roles will provide comprehensive health care and first aid to our students, staff, visitors, boarders, and homestay students ensuring compliance with health regulations and College policies for the effective operation of the Health Centre and our Boarding facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary health care in line with professional nursing standards, College policies, and legislation.
- Offer First Aid and emergency care on campus.
- Manage and administer prescribed medications and health care procedures.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records.
- Support educational functions and promote healthy lifestyles within the school community.
- Act as a liaison for the College with parents, students, and health agencies.
- Participate in meetings and case conferences regarding student health.
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to incident management and WHS processes.
- Ensure compliance with State health regulations and College policies.
- Advise on and support the development of College health processes.
- Undertake regular reviews and make recommendations for the Health Centre, Boarding Village and International programs.
- Participate in risk management strategies and health and safety planning.
- Uphold College policies relating to Child Protection and act as a Student Protection Officer.
Health Centre & Boarding Medical Operations:
- Maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Prepare reports on health trends, incidents, absences, and student concerns.
- Undertake additional duties as required to support College wellbeing.
- Supporting boarding and homestay students to attend appointments.

About the Roles:
We are currently recruiting for four separate opportunities directly associated with our College Health Centre and Boarding Village operations.
The opportunities for nurses to join JPC are as follows:
College Nursing Opportunity One:
- Term time role plus one additional week per annum (total of 38 weeks per year)
- Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm daily with a 30-minute break daily.
- This is a total of 6.5 hours per day / 32.5 hours per week.
- Based in the JPC Heath Centre, this role will also work collaboratively within the Health Centre alongside a dedicated team of nurses to ensure the highest standard of care for all students.
College Nursing Opportunity Two:
- Term time role plus one additional week per annum (total of 38 weeks per year)
- Thursday & Friday from 7:30am to 2:30pm with a 30-minute break daily.
- This is a total of 6.5 hours per day / 13 hours per week.
- Based in the JPC Heath Centre, this role will also work collaboratively within the Health Centre alongside a dedicated team of nurses to ensure the highest standard of care for all students.
College Boarding Nursing Opportunity Three:
- Term time role plus one additional week per annum (total of 38 weeks per year)
- Monday to Friday from 7am to 10am daily.
- This is a total of 3 hours per day / 15 hours per week.
- Based at the JPC Boarding Village, this role will have oversight of the medical and health practices for our Boarders and Homestay students.
- This role will require a driver’s license to support boarding and homestay students to attend medical appointments on occasion. College vehicles are available for use to attend these appointments.
College Nursing Opportunity Four:
- Flexible Casual nursing opportunities to support the College nursing operations as required.
- Working in both the Boarding Village and the JPC Heath Centre, these casual role will also work collaboratively within the Health Centre alongside a dedicated team of nurses to ensure the highest standard of care for all students.

About You:
Working closely with teachers, administrators, and parents, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering comprehensive nursing care, health education, and support services to ensure the overall well-being of the school community.
With a background in supporting first aid, implementing emergency response protocols, and fostering collaborative relationships in a school environment, you will also be an individual who is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment for optimal learning and growth.
Our ideal candidates will also have:
- A current AHPRA Nursing Registration
- A current paid blue card (Working with Children Check)
- A current First Aid Certification
- Training in Anaphylaxis and Asthma Response and management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively liaise with all key stakeholders including students, parents, guardians, colleagues, and member of the community.
- An active interest in paediatric and/or adolescent health
- Reasonable computer literacy and administration skills
- A commitment to actively support the mission and values of the College, and
- The ability to create and maintain a positive and collaborative working environment.
