Children’s Ministry Worker

We are looking to employ a full-time Children’s Ministry Worker for our children’s ministry. We are looking for a faithful and gifted individual with theological training and experience ready to take on this exciting challenge. You will need to comply with all Safe Ministry Check and WWCC requirements.

We have a growing number of families with children attending Sunday congregations, and we are running children’s discipleship training programs. This role is about more than just helping us grow the effectiveness and reach of our ministry. It's about your personal and professional growth as you will be instrumental in guiding children and their families towards a deeper understanding of their faith.

Job Title: Children’s Ministry Worker

Location: Rydalmere NSW

Job type: Full time position

Remuneration: Total remuneration: $70,000 including fringe benefits

Skills and Qualifications:

  Bachelor of Theology or equivalent theological qualifications

  Minimum of two years’ experience in children’s ministry

  Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with people of differing cultural and professional backgrounds

  Korean language fluency is required

Responsibilities:

  Conduct Sunday service for Children’s Ministry

  Pray regularly for each member of Children’s Ministry

  Organise training for teachers and assistants as required.

  Plan and coordinate a regular training program, camp program, curriculum.

  Coordinate regular planning meetings for team members that include teacher training and opportunities for spiritual growth.

  Prepare the teaching materials for each of the Sunday School classes (Bible lesson, crafts and activities)

  Supervise and train volunteer Sunday School teachers.

  Lead the weekly prayer meetings,

  Monitor and manage volunteer.

  Manage and replenish children’s ministry resources and storage.

  Oversee the purchase, distribution, and use of all equipment and supplies (curriculum, snacks, art supplies, etc.).

  Communicate the church’s approved safety policy to all Children’s Ministry member, regularly evaluate its use and take necessary steps to put the policy into practice.

  Communicate with church leaders and the congregation regarding the purpose, value, and procedures of Children’s Ministry.
