Job Description:

Randstad is partnering with a medical practice facility dedicated to providing exceptional medical care and personalized patient experiences. On these two practices you would be working with a great cardiologist professional while using advanced technology, they are committed to delivering comprehensive and compassionate healthcare services to our community. We are seeking a highly organized and personable Medical Receptionist to join their dynamic team in there two practices on a permanent basics. As the first point of contact for patients, the Medical Receptionist plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment for both patients and staff. This individual will be responsible for managing patient appointments, ensuring accurate documentation, and facilitating smooth communication between patients and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients, visitors, and guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments, surgeries, and consultations efficiently.
  • Register new patients, collect and verify insurance information, and update patient records as needed.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, address inquiries, and provide information to callers in a helpful manner.
  • Coordinate with their specialist to ensure a seamless patient experience and timely flow of appointments.
  • Process billing information, collect payments, and issue receipts.
  • Typing and Dictaphone skills essential for medical letters and documents.
  • Manage patient accounts, invoicing, and payments with Medicare; knowledge of health fund billing essential
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role, preferably in a medical setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both in-person and over the phone.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software.
  • Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Empathetic and compassionate attitude towards patients and their families.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is an advantage.
