Instructional Leader in Mathematics

About the opportunity:

We are looking for an Instructional Leader to join us in a temporary full-time capacity for the rest of 2024. Additionally, this role is an off-class position, with responsibility for leading and supporting the delivery of high quality personalised learning and teaching embedded in the Catholic worldview. 

More specifically you will: 

• Work with teachers to increase their Mathematics content knowledge and practice

• Continuing the implementation of the School Improvement Plan

• Supporting staff in the explicit teaching of Mathematics

• Contributing to the delivery of the system strategic intent and learning agenda within the local school context.

• Exercising Catholic leadership and fostering the faith formation of students and staff.

• Coaching teachers and modelling agreed practice to support students at the point of need using data and research-informed practice in literacy and numeracy.

• Enabling teachers to transfer intervention strategies to the local context.

• Analysing and using data to assist other leaders and teachers in understanding student and teacher learning needs.

About you:

To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of St Patricks, along with:

• Tertiary Qualification in Education

• Deep understanding of K-10 Mathematics syllabus

• Continuing the implementation of the School Improvement Plan

• Supporting staff in the explicit teaching of Mathematics

• Accreditation to teach Religion 

• Statements of Service

• Working with Children Check clearance

• Expertise in Literacy and Numeracy

• Leadership experience within primary or secondary
