Following a recent announcement by the Australian Government to investigate the acquisition of UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters from the US Government, Lockheed Martin Australia is looking to establish a core team of experienced military Rotary Wing professionals to support the potential procurement and sustainment activities. The modern-day, 3rd Generation UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter is the world’s leading multi-role battlefield and special operations helicopter with a proven legacy of exceptional capability and reliability. We are pleased to invite applications for the position of Design Engineer- Airframe / Engine to join our UH-60M Black Hawk team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake engineering and compliance activities for UH-60M related projects
    • Contribute to System Safety processes within UHSPO
    • Conduct engineering project activities such as :
    • Engineering drawings
    • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) o Structural analysis
    • Weights and balance activities
    • Developing AE design changes and modifications
  • Provide advice and recommendations regarding AE design engineering considerations

About you:

With your substantial Design and Sustainment engineering experience and excellent communication skills you will also ideally hold a an AQF Level 7 (Bachelor of Engineering-  or equivalent).
 
To be successful in this role you will also have:
 

  • Proven Design Engineer experience
  • DASR Courses (21J, Part M, MTCH)
  • System Program Office experience
  • Engineering Authority: DE/CVE

Special Requirements:

Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold a current or re-instatable NV1 Defence Security Clearance or be eligible to gain this.
 
The location of the role will be Brisbane, QLD.
