Overview

We are seeking an Integration Specialist with a strong background in API integrations in integrating with the National Disability Insurance Agency’s (NDIA) NDIS system. This is a highly specialized project, and we’re looking for a backend developer who has prior experience specifically within the NDIA API space.  
The project offers two months of full-time work, but we are flexible. The ideal candidate may choose to work full-time over the two-month period or opt for a part-time arrangement (a few days per week) spread over a longer timeframe. This role can be remote or hybrid, depending on your location within Australia. 

Responsibilities 

  • Lead the integration of our platform with the NDIS system via the NDIA API.
  • Collaborate closely with our product and technical teams to ensure a seamless connection.
  • Ensure compliance with NDIA standards and requirements.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and resolve integration-related issues.
  • Experience within an Agile/Scrum environment. 
  • Document the integration process and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Skills

  • Proven experience in back-end development (5+ years for senior, 3+ years for mid-weight).
  • Previous experience with NDIA API integration.
  • Proficiency in building and consuming APIs in a range of back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of REST or Web API principles, authentication, and security protocols.
  • Ability to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
