The role

As a Senior Manager, you will be accountable in this role for:

Proactively identifying, assessing and responding to regulatory issues in the sector to promote good outcomes for consumers and sector wide adherence with the law. This includes proactive engagement across ASIC to harness insights from ASIC's regulatory intelligence. Delivery of complex surveillances including overseeing the scope, structure, planning and conduct of the reviews, (including information gathering and interviews and use of data to support findings), the writing and editing of surveillance reports and feedback letters, explaining the regulatory and consumer impact of findings to decision makers and influencers of relevant firms. Proactive supervision of large financial institutions.  Effective collection, management, analysis, and communication of insights from data. The leadership and delivery of ASIC wide or priority projects. Working collaboratively with other teams within R&S and across ASIC to enable them to carry out their roles. Using expert knowledge and abilities to work collaboratively in formulating and implementing regulatory strategy focused on meaningful harm reduction in the relevant context. Collaboratively establishing, enhancing and embedding best practice surveillance processes, procedures, and methodologies. This includes a focus on the use of data and data analytics to enhance surveillance practices and impact. Driving the use of innovative supervision and surveillance methods and solutions. Building and managing strategic partnerships with stakeholders (Treasury, APRA, ATO), industry groups and other regulatory bodies,

About you

Building and leading an effective team so that each member is fully committed to and capable of moving in the direction set; Coaching and supporting team members, to foster staff development and encourage high performance. Leading professional development and learning initiatives for the team. Recommending system improvements to optimise long term outcomes and maximise performance. Maintaining and utilising internal and external networks to inform decision-making and to facilitate regulatory outcomes.
