Your Role
Frederic House is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Enrolled Nurse to join our Health Services team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality clinical care to residents in our aged care facility, particularly those dealing with alcohol and drug dependence, mental health challenges and/or experiencing homelessness.
Your Responsibility
- Clinical Care: Deliver comprehensive clinical health care services, assisting with daily living activities, personal hygiene, and adjunct care such as ice packs and therapeutic baths.
- Patient Support: Provide compassionate assistance with meals, ambulation, and personal care, ensuring patient comfort and dignity.
- Monitoring & Documentation: Regularly check vital signs, maintain clear and accurate patient records, and assist with the management of clients exhibiting challenging behaviours.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with a small clinical team and the broader Frederic House multidisciplinary team to ensure the seamless delivery of care.
- Professional Conduct: Uphold professional and ethical boundaries in complex situations, maintain nurse registration, and adhere to high standards of professional conduct.
- Risk Management: Contribute to the safety of the workplace by implementing effective health and safety practices, ensuring compliance with legal and governance requirements.
You Will Need
- Diploma in Nursing.
- Flexibility to work a range of rostered shifts covering different days.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing high standards in nursing care.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey sensitive information empathetically
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage multiple tasks safely.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and internet skills.
