This is a FIFO role based in the Pilbara on an 8:6-7:7 roster.
The Opportunity
The Production Supervisor role provides frontline task allocation, clear expectations of KPI’s, mentoring/coaching and supervision to the crews on site. Achieving production targets Safely while always demonstrating and encouraging Respectful and Inclusive behaviours.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the Site Production Team tasks and establish a committed focus on risk assessments ensuring these are adequate for the task and signed off appropriately
- Maintain cost effective production procedures to achieve optimum plant output, availability, reliability and utilisation and achieve overall production targets
- Maintain effective Safe Work Procedures and ensure continuous improvement is carried out
- Ensure all tasks are supervised and tasks are assigned daily to direct reports
- Lead pre-starts meetings, return to work meetings and PSI’s. Ensure you engage workforce and get value out of meetings
- Ensure clear expectations and accountabilities have been set with all team members and employees are held to account for their roles
- Achieve Safety KPIs – take times, inspections, JHAs must be completed and all items are to be entered and actioned in STEMS in a timely manner
- Ensure completion of all checks and inspections. This includes (where applicable) the Supervisor Daily Workplace Inspection, the ROM Inspection, Workshop Inspection and the Daily Screen Inspection
- Compliance with all Safety Rules and Procedures to ensure all work is undertaken in a safe manner at all times and participation in any Safety or Training initiatives identified and implemented by the Company and/or the Client
- Escalation of Safety, Damage and/or Downtime events immediately to Production Superintendent
- All incidents to be reported immediately and investigation to commence prior to end of shift. All incidents to be recorded in STEMS and closed out as soon as practicable
What is Required
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated previous experience within a Mobile Crushing Plant (Terex)
- Knowledge and understanding of computers and Microsoft software packages
- Ability to lead teams and creative problem solving skills
- Physically mobile with a good fitness level
- C Class Driver’s License
- Certificate 3 or 4 in Processing Production (desirable)
- Skid Steer competency certificate (desirable)
- WAH, CS, CN, CV, DG Certificates of competency (desirable)
- Senior First Aid (desirable)
