About the Role

Opportunities currently exist for Extrusion Operators to join our local team in Coopers Plains, Queensland. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will work in a team and will be responsible for all the facets of extrusion operation across a rotating roster to support the pipe making extrusion process.

Please note, it is a requirement that all candidates are available to work both day and night shift, on a 7-day rotating roster.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring hourly extrusion line runs to current settings and procedures

• Measuring products with company supplied and approved equipment

• Rectifying problems to ensure minimum downtime on machines

• Prior to commencement of start-up ensuring pre-start checklist is completed

• Ensuring product is inspected, tested as per quality procedures

• Performing size changes to ensure production targets are obtained and efficiency is improved

• Minimising scrap generation, ensure head/tooling is cleaned

Requirements:

• A high level of manual dexterity and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment

• Demonstrated understanding of safe work practices, manual handling, and workplace procedures

• Knowledge of quality control requirements and specifications

• Ability to meet KPIs and performance expectations

• Flexibility to work across all shifts

• Effective communication skills

• Positive, can-do attitude and willing to support all members of the team
