Inventory & Demand Planning Specialist

Purpose of the role

As an Inventory & Demand Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and improving the inventory processes and performance across our product portfolio. You will work closely with various stakeholders, such as sales, product management, design teams, manufacturing operations, finance, and vendors, to ensure that we have the right inventory at the right place and time to meet customer demand and business objectives.

Main Responsibilities

- Maintaining and updating the SKU master data, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information

- Classifying inventory according to various criteria, such as ABC analysis, product lifecycle, etc.

- Monitoring and reporting on inventory turning days performance and identifying opportunities for improvement

- Ensuring timely consumption of inventory and minimizing write-offs and scrap

- Providing visibility of work in progress (WIP) inventory and collaborating with operations to optimize production planning

- Generating and analyzing inventory aging reports and developing action plans to reduce excess and obsolete inventory

- Coordinating and executing the annual stock take process and cycle counting critical items

- Ensuring timely consumption of inventory and minimizing write-offs and scrap

- Managing the inventory counts at 3rd party locations and ensuring alignment with our internal systems

- Establishing and implementing strategic stocking policies and procedures for different inventory categories, such as safety stock, sub assembles, consignment stock, finished goods etc.

- Engaging with vendor management (VM) teams to manage end-of-life (EOL) and lead time issues and minimize excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory

Experience Required

- A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field

- At least 3 years of experience in inventory management, demand planning, or a similar role

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools such as PowerBI or Qlik

- Experience with ERP systems, (we use NAV)

- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks

- Attention to detail and accuracy
