Governor Stirling Senior High School (SHS) are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher – Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) to join their friendly team
The successful applicant should establish and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider community. The ability to teach Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) HASS subjects and/or Psychology would be highly regarded.
We are about to embark on a new Business Plan with a number of new people at the school, including a new Principal and 2 new Deputy Principals. This marks the beginning of exciting times with positive change, and a focus on staff Health and Wellbeing. We are also embarking on a Future Leaders program to develop leaders in non-teaching roles, so teachers who are aspirant are encouraged to apply.
The successful applicant should have the ability and desire to alter teaching practice to suit individual students' learning needs. Additionally, the successful applicant will ideally display strength in being reflective, and always looking to improve. Staff who aspire to a whole school leadership role are encouraged to apply.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
