Job Title: Motor Mechanic

Employment Status: Full Time

Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 per annum + Superannuation

Location: 11 Curtis St, Belmont VIC 3216

MIDAS SERVICE CENTRE BELMONT located in Belmont, Victoria, is seeking a qualified and dedicated Motor Mechanic to join our team. With a focus on customer satisfaction, we service a wide range of vehicles, including passenger cars, 4WDs, and light commercial vehicles.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for a variety of mechanical tasks, including diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and associated parts.
  • Disassembling, inspecting, and repairing vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, and steering systems.
  • Replacing worn or faulty parts, reassembling engines, and testing repaired systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Performing routine maintenance such as oil changes, engine tune-ups, and compliance checks with pollution regulations.
  • Issuing roadworthiness certificates after detailed vehicle inspections.
  • Providing breakdown support and responding to service calls.
  • Utilizing diagnostic tools and computer systems to identify and rectify issues.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • A valid Australian driver’s license.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and experience using modern diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to delivering quality work and customer service.
