About the role

You will be trained in all aspects of the warehousing process from goods in / out, inventory and stock control, forklift operation, loading and unloading trucks, customer service, and various computer applications in inventory management and control. You will be also provided with the opportunity to obtain your forklift licence and receive additional certification and training to use more specialised plant and equipment.

More than a warehousing job, we are looking for someone who can also work on the trade counter and has a friendly, confident and outgoing personality to deal with customers when needed to.

 
Required attributes and skills

  • Fit and healthy for manual handling (some lifting up to 25 kg)
  • Basic computer skills and basic typing
  • Excellent organisational skills 
  • Effective communications skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English 
  • Most important is a great attitude and reliability
  • Willing to undertake formal qualifications in the related discipline 

Desirable Criteria

  • Drivers License 
  • Forklift License (or willing to obtain)
  • Must be willing to undertake and work towards completing training in the relevant formal qualification, dependent upon individual candidate and host employer  
  • Must have a current National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
