·       Salary $70000 to $85000 plus superannuation

The role

We have an outstanding opportunity for Carpenter to join the team. This is a rare chance to combine your passion and knowledge with your leadership experience whilst progressing your career.

Key responsibilities

Major duties and responsibilities of the Carpenter

·       Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements

·       Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed

·       Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurements

·       Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items

·       Lay out floorings, roofings or drywalls ensuring they are leveled and compatible

  • Erecting framework and roof framing, laying sub-flooring and floorboards and verifying trueness of structures
  • Nailing fascia panels, sheathing roofs, and fitting exterior wall cladding and door and window frames

·       Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated

·       Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance

·       Build scaffolding and other construction structures

Requirements -

  • Certificate III in carpentry with previous experience of 1 years in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work well with team, and also independently.
  • Must be able to work shift work, including nights and weekends
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Permanent Residents or citizens of Australia will be preferred.
