About the role  

Reporting to the Head of Sustainability Supplier Engagement, this role will oversee the implementation and coordination of our supplier engagement program and be a key point of contact for our internal contract owners and suppliers in meeting Coles’ environmental objectives.

You will also:

  • Mentor and lead a newly created team to drive sustainability performance across our suppliers
  • Drive communication between suppliers, contract owners and industry bodies
  • Identify and drive opportunities for Coles suppliers to support the sustainability objectives of Coles
  • Oversee the delivery of supplier engagement communication and event activities
  • Be a subject matter expert in relation to Coles’ supplier related environmental targets
  • Oversee project reporting and budgets 

About you and your skills

You will have:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience working with internal stakeholders, suppliers and consultants in a corporate environment
  • Project management experience of complex programs of work
  • Previously experience managing direct reports
  • Excellent communications and engagement skills
  • Some understanding of climate change, emissions reductions and related sustainability impacts is preferred but not essential
