Tax Preparer

Come and join this small team of six who offer a complete range of accounting, taxation and financial services to small and medium businesses and individuals. Established in 1999 the team is committed to providing their clients with the best possible total care.

They're looking for a Tax Preparer to join the team in a permanent part time or full-time capacity who has experience preparing tax returns and preferably in a private practice setting.

Duties Are but not limited to:

•Tax Preparer (min 12months experience preparing Individual tax returns in Australia)
•Preparing annual financial statements and tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, SMEs, and larger groups.
•Preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS)
•Preparing bookkeeping work and month-end reporting
•Reconciling accounts and maintaining clients' asset registers and journals
•Assisting managers and partners to provide clients with proactive, timely and accurate services.
•Communicating with clients and other relevant stakeholders

Skills/Experience:

•Experience in a similar role (min 12 months)
•Must have permanent residency.
•Proven experience using Xero.
•Have, or working towards an Australian CA qualification.
•Recent experience with an Australian accounting firm (preferred)
•Excellent written and spoken English.
