WHAT IS THE POSITION?

Champ Resources are seeking applications for several vacancies offering full time hours + overtime  We require experienced Mech Fitters and Welders to join our client's team in MACKAY for on-going, continuous work on a long term basis, with view to permanency for the right applicants.

These positions are located at a Mackay workshop; if you have the right attitude and a great work ethic - we can teach you the rest  The position/s are due to a steady growth in work, where our client undertakes stripping and re-assembly of underground mining vehicles undergoing service and repair. Ideally - you will be able to provide demonstrated evidence of your previous experience in a mechanical trade or Welding Skills.

In this position you will have the opportunity for overtime and weekend work, however these positions are MON-FRI (these are NOT mine site based positions)

TO BE CONSIDERED, you must meet the below criteria

  • Relevant Mechanical Trade Qualifications or Welding Experience 
  • Experience in overhaul/servicing work
  • A strong commitment to WHS standards a MUST
  • Ability to pass medical and D&A screening
  • Current, unrestricted drivers licence and reliable transport
