Right now, we’re looking for a part time Cook to join our team at Stewart Street Community Preschool, working Monday and Tuesday - an ‘Exceeding NQS’ rated service in Wollongong. What makes this place special is our beautiful and engaging outdoor spaces which provide many opportunities for the children to learn through active play. Our long-standing educators have many years of experience working with children under five years of age. They cater to the needs of working families by providing extra routine support.

What your work will involve
In this role you will run the kitchen, including but not limited to, menu planning, preparing healthy meals, ordering stock and cleaning duties. As the Cook you will use your experience to support the health and well-being of the children in the centre through the planning and preparation of all meals provided throughout the day.
What you need to succeed
- Ability to multitask
- Strong communication skills
- A good level of physical fitness
- Be organised
- A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Qualifications in Menu Planning and Nutrition and Safe Food Supervisor certificate or equivalent are desirable - training will be provided for the right candidate and paid for by Big Fat Smile.
