About the Role:

We are currently seeking patient, customer service-oriented Multiskilled Carers to join our team. In this role, you will partner with residents to fulfill their daily living, social, and emotional needs, providing person-centered care that enhances their quality of life.

This position involves working two shifts per week on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Additionally, there are opportunities to take on extra shifts at this site or other locations within Juniper.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance with residents' hygiene needs, including bathing, dental hygiene, dressing, grooming, and personal care.
• Support residents in maintaining or restoring their independence by assisting with activities of interest and mobility aids as required.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation and report relevant information to Nursing, Allied Health, and Management as needed.
• Maintain effective communication in the workplace, demonstrating respect, openness to change, and kindness.
• Assist residents with medication administration in accordance with Juniper policies.

Key requirements:

• Certificate III Individual Support or Aged Care – equivalent or above qualification - essential
• Minimum 12 months experience working as a carer in an aged care or acute health care setting - essential
• Ability to relate to elderly customers with empathy whilst working effectively with other health professionals, service providers and case managers
• Ability to interpret individual care plans and provide care that targets individual goals
• Strong communication, organisational and time management skills
• Understand importance of cognitive strategies and social interaction, and ability to meet the mental and emotional health needs of customers

• Attractive remuneration $33.25 - $33.76 per hour dependent on experience, plus 11.5% superannuation
