About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team based in our Port of Brisbane office. You will be responsible for:
- Preparing and delivering Engineering solutions to clients as per their project requirements
- Prepare and review engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Liaise with clients to ensure their requirements and expectations align with project requirements
- Co-ordinate external consultants (Architects, Surveyors, Hydraulic Engineers etc.) for the incorporation of any required engineering inputs into designs
- Effectively and efficiently undertake engineering design in a computer aided design environment
- Conduct internal audits of the company business management system and ensure that proper design and drafting standards are set and maintained
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
To be successful in this role, you will need
- Tertiary qualification in Civil / Structural Engineering
- Preferable 5-10 years industry relevant experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build relationships with clients and external consultants
- High level ability to understand complex engineering challenges and develop multiple solutions with considerations and assessment of the risk and opportunity of solutions developed
- Attention to detail
