About the Role

Predominantly based from our North Brisbane Branch the Business Manager role is both strategic and operational. The position will be accountable for operations at Narangba, and Sunshine Coast locations. Reporting directly to the State Operations Manager (SOM) this position is pivotal in driving operational outcomes, identified through strategic initiatives with day-to-day support from the Branch Managers, Supervisors and SOM. The role is designed for earlier starts earlier finishes, starting from 5:30am Monday to Friday. 

The Business Manager primarily focuses on optimising business performance to achieve Operational Excellence. The role is critical in establishing and maintaining operating disciplines, data led decisions and will require you to be hands on, and lead by example. The successful candidate will lead by example, have a hands-on approach and be known for their ability to relate to staff, customers and stakeholders at all levels. Further, you will have an unwavering approach to safe work practices.

Some key aspects of the role include:

  • Execution of strategic plans to ensure the business delivers meets KPI's and operates within the national framework
  • Ensure day to day business activities are running effectively and liaison with internal departments including Branches, Sales, HR, Compliance to drive business performance, efficiencies and continuous improvement
  • Establish operating disciplines, data led decisions and lead a positive workplace culture
  • Provide technical, logistical and operational support to your stakeholders
  • Review data, in particular branch key performance indicators and develop solutions and strategies to drive performance
  • Analyse and forecast trends in residential construction industry
  • Workforce planning and infrastructure in line with growth plans
  • Empower and motivate the team to achieve a shared sense of vision and promotion of Buildsafe Core Values retention and people growth
  • Coach and manage your team

About You

Having gained experience in construction management, operations, account management or similar, you are a natural leader and value strong relationships.

You will have:

  • High level customer service and stakeholder management/engagement skills
