The Opportunity

Position available: PM Transport Supervisor

As we expand our grocery division, we have a fantastic brand new permanent opportunities for a Transport Supervisor to join our team at Laverton North Victoria. You'll play a pivotal role in facilitating grocery deliveries across the Melbourne region, ensuring that Toll drivers and operations staff surpass standards and KPIs.

Transport Supervisor: 9 day fortnight, Monday - Saturday, 1 Saturday a fortnight. PM Shift: 13:30 - 23:00.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and manage labour resources to meet the day to day service level targets, and exceed customer expectations

  • Coordinate the dispatch of trucks to ensure on-time deliveries

  • Champion safety and ensure all drivers and operational staff follow OHS and site safety requirements

  • Promote a customer first mindset and ensure the daily operation is maximising profitability by linking management goals with practical means of achievement

  • Maintain clear and effective communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams. Address any issues or delays promptly to minimise disruptions

  • Ensure services are monitored for on-time delivery, and proactively collaborate with the customer to meet targeted delivery windows

About you:

  • Previous experience within a similar role within Transport/Logistics industry highly advantageous

  • A positive attitude and appetite to learn.

  • Demonstrated experience with Operations, CoR, Fatigue Management desirable but not essential.

  • An analytical mind-set – strong ability to problem solve.

  • Exceptional communication skills – written and verbal.

  • Computer literacy skills – MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines within a time-pressured environment.
