About the Role

The Senior Development Manager is responsible for the delivery of property related major capital projects as allocated by Head of Property Development including new property developments, redevelopment and / or expansion of existing IRT property assets.

Core Duties

  • The delivery of new property developments, redevelopments and other major capital works in support of IRT’s strategic plan. 
  • Delivery of sales income associated with new property developments.
  • Manage, develop and support a high performing and engaged customer centric Development Manager(s).
  • Support Head of Communications in delivering comprehensive stakeholder management, community engagement and customer collaboration for all property development activities so as to meet the needs of our customers and community taking into account the regional and demographic diversity of our audiences.
  • Monitor the quality standards of all property developments (including the performance of all consultants and contractors). 
  • Manage the key risks associated with major capital investment projects including the development and implementation of improved processes and procedures as required.
  • Ensure that Work, Health and Safety components and risks are managed through all projects including in the design phase
  • To facilitate, drive, recommend and implement innovation in community planning, housing design and construction methods in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and leading industry standards
  • Provide detailed reports outlining the status of key project KPI’s, development progresses and timetables, key risk areas, strategies and recommendations as required 
  • Provide inputs to and support individual and consolidated project cash flow reporting and tracking to approved business cases and budgets

To Be Successful You Will Have

Required: Tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications in Property or Construction or a related discipline.

Work Experience

•    Extensive demonstrated experience in a similar role
•    A demonstrated track record in the successful and timely management of major property developments
•    High-level project management and property development governance capabilities
•    Demonstrated People Management experience 
•    High-level negotiation, conflict resolution and communication (written and verbal) skills 
•    Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
•    Proven attention to detail and accuracy
•    Demonstrated willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
•    Current valid driver’s licence
•    Previous relevant experience in residential care and/or seniors living property developments (desirable)
