About the role 

Nurse Pool combines the stability of permanent employment, with the opportunity to develop and expand your skills by working across a variety of specialties and departments instead of just the one ward. Eastern Health Pool nurses are contracted to an agreed EFT and provided with roster in advance, the area/ward of work is communicated prior to the shift start. You will join a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team who partner to provide the best possible care for our patients. Our Acute sites:  

  • Angliss Hospital (Ferntree Gully)   

  • Box Hill Hospital (Box Hill)  

  • Maroondah (Ringwood) 

Our combined Sub-acute and Residential Aged Care sites:  

  • Peter James Centre (Blackburn) 

  • Wantirna (Wantirna) 

  • Murenda Residential Aged Care (Wantirna)

About you  

As a Registered or Enrolled Nurse, your skills and experience will include; 

  • Current, condition-free registration with AHPRA  

  • Minimum 2 years working experience in an Australian hospital setting (not including placements) 

  • Ability to work a rotating roster including AM, PM and night shifts 

  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Strong commitment to providing excellent clinical care 

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, providing patient focused care 

  • Active engagement in continued professional and career development
