About You :

  • Certificate in Health/Medical Administration or
  • Equivalent experience in Allied Health or Medical reception / administration
  • Experience with Smartsoft booking software or similar
  • Understanding of DVA Medicare and Workcover treatments billings and bookings
  • Understanding of Hicaps and billing codes

Position Summary :

As the Receptionist you will be the first point of contact and responsible for providing a positive first impression of the clinic. You will also look after a range of administrative duties in order to ensure the smooth operations of the office.

There are approximately 12 hours per week available to begin, you must be available Saturday mornings, and be flexible to provide holiday and illness cover for other staff members as required.

Key Requirements :

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Computer skills and knowledge
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Microsoft Office Suite – Basic / Intermediate
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal
  • Excellent planning and organising
  • Ability to effectively prioritise
  • Problem assessment and problem solving
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Strong customer service orientated
  • Teamwork focus and approach

Job Responsibility :

  • Ensure that the clinic is fully supported to enable the delivery of quality patient care by the practitioners and staff
  • Respect confidentiality and privacy of practitioners, staff and patients at all times
  • Maintain a cooperative team environment by communicating openly and in a friendly manner, working efficiently and amicably with all members of the clinic
  • Managing bookings and ensuring practitioners run on time.
  • General reception duties
  • Call screening and message taking
  • Incoming mail – scanning, filing and distribution
  • Outgoing – recording and disbursing accurately
  • General cleanliness of common areas
  • Other ad-hoc activities as directed by the office manager
