Electrical Estimator

Lead group has recently partnered with an organisation specialising in government & commercial electrical/communications installations. As a result of our continuous growth, we are seeking a passionate and technically minded estimator to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering quotes, tenders, and bids covering a broad range of technical capabilities, including electrical installation, network infrastructure, audio visual, and security systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design electrical, structured cabling, CCTV, EACS, and AV systems.
• Produce quotes from take-offs to document writing.
• Communicate with suppliers and contractors on a technical level.
• Oversee procurement of materials and equipment.
• Assisting project teams and provide direction, guidance, and support.
• Liaise with clients, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Monitor project progress and address any issues or challenges.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, codes, and standards.
• Foster a culture of safety and promote best practices on site.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience with projects ranging from $100k - $5mil
• Solid understanding of electrical systems.
• Ability to design technical solutions.
• Experience in electrical, structured cabling, CCTV, EACS, and AV system design.
• Experience in producing quotes and communicating with suppliers and contractors.
• Electrical License (preferred).
• Open Cablers (highly regarded)
• Logical technical thinking.
• Experience in electrical contracting in the Defense Industry (an advantage).

Qualifications:

• Australian Citizenship with a current security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
• National Police Check.
• Customer Specific Checks.
• Working With Children Check.
