The Role

Our client, a key player in the Oil and Gas supply chain industry globally, is seeking an HC licensed Semi Truck Driver and Yard Hand to assist with commercial driving requirements throughout the local Darwin region. Labouring work and forklift operation in the yard will also be required.

This position will be Monday to Friday, offering 38 casual hours per week, predominantly reporting to the warehouse located in East Arm, NT.

Working within a small to medium team, we are looking for an individual with excellent team communication, reliability and a focus on quality. Safety is at the forefront of our client's standards and this role calls for someone with an uncompromising approach to WHS best practice. 

This position will be an ASAP start and intended as an ongoing opportunity for the right person. Hours of work will be from 7am to 4pm weekdays, with weekend work as required. 

Subject to demonstrated experience, the casual pay rate on offer for this role is between $40.00 - $44.00 per hour.

*Due to the location of the warehouse/yard, it is essential that you have reliable transport as it is not accessible by public transport.

Key Competencies:

  • A current HC Drivers Licence - essential
  • WA Driver Fatigue Management Certification - highly regarded
  • Load Restraint (RTO Accredited) - highly regarded
  • High Risk Work Licence - Forklift (LF)
  • Current Commercial Drivers Medical Assessment (or ability to complete one)
  • Strong safety focus and ability to perform duties safely, efficiently and in accordance with company procedures
  • Excellent work ethic and a positive attitude

Shortlisted candidates must be willing and able to complete any pre-employment fitness for work assessments required, and will be subject to random and ongoing fitness for work testing if successful for the role.
