Multinational Company - Costco Auburn Great Career Opportunities Rotating roster which will include weekend work and starts from 5am or finishing as late as 8pm.

Daily tasks and responsibilities:

    • Provides and ensures prompt and courteous member service.
    • Maintains current product knowledge of Fresh department items.
    • Moves product filled oven racks. Un-trays product from baking pans onto packaging. Garnishes baked goods according to item requirements; stacks used baking pans on pan dollies.
    • Scales finished product and records on weight verification sheets.
    • Packages and wraps baked goods by hand or wrapping machine according to merchandise manual.
    • Uses racks or carts to move or stock wrapped product onto tables and pallets. Responsible to maintain date rotation and merchandising presentation throughout the day.
    • Assists with other bakery duties as needed.
    • Follows Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) guidelines as it refers to proper cleaning and sanitation of all equipment required by this position.
    • Completes and complies with Costco policies of Quality Assurance, Food Safety Certification and all Safety training required by warehouse and department.
    • Prepares hot food. Proofs, rolls, shapes, adds toppings or fillings and bakes items, such as pizzas and chicken. Slices pizza, puts baked items in warmer. Steams hot dogs and buns.
    • Rings up sales, collects money, makes change. Places whole pizza orders from members at the counter and on the phone. Assembles and presents order to customer. Uses tongs to pick up hot food items. Follows department production and cash handling procedures and standards. Provides prompt and courteous member service.
    • Dispenses dessert and drink items such as frozen yogurt. Cleans, sanitizes, services, and refills dispensing machines.
    • Maintains self-serve soft drink area, condiment table and eating area. Cleans and sanitises tables, sweeps and mops floors, empties garbage.
    • Cleans and sanitises the machines, work surfaces, floors, pans, utensils and counters. Takes garbage to compactor and operates compactor. Follows safety and security procedures.
    • Pulls ingredients and supplies from warehouse. Stocks large volume ingredients to shelves, cooler and freezer. Stages ingredients to preparation area and refills dispensing machines. Complies with health regulations, such as sanitation, temperatures, product rotation and expiration dates.
    • Inspects and reassembles equipment sanitised previous night. Reworks display case and rotates product.
    • Takes large trays of packaged meat from large wheeled racks and places individual packages into automatic wrapping machine. Follows safety and security procedures.
    • Sets labeler according to product type and price, prints and applies labels to product.
    • Puts wrapped and labeled meat on large trays of large wheeled cart and stocks in display case by reaching through sliding windows or moving rack to floor.
    • Operates meat mincer. Dumps meat into top of machine and checks fat content of each batch from grinder. Follows proper department production procedures and standards for quality and consistency of finished product.
    • Cleans and sanitises area throughout the day. Performs duties to comply with health regulations, such as sanitation standards and maintaining proper temperatures.
    • Performs routine maintenance for machinery, equipment, and implements.
    • Slices meats and cheeses for package sale and for use in assembled product using commercial slicer and scale. Slices vegetables for salads, entrees, and garnish on prepared foods. Assembles party trays, meals, pizzas, and salads. Assembles, shapes, cuts, and garnishes sushi.
    • Skewers and cooks chickens and ribs in commercial rotisserie oven. Inserts up to eight skewers with five chickens into rotisserie rotator slots, presses button to rotate for loading. Packages product, weighs ribs, places in heated display case. Rotates stock and pulls chicken/rib boxes.
    • Packages, wraps, seals, weighs, and labels product with automated wrapping machine. Stocks and rotates display case.
    • Follows Costco formulas and diagrams and monitors finished product to see that department consistency and quality standards are met. Complies with health regulation, such as sanitation, temperatures, and pull dates. Upholds safety and security procedures.
    • Restocks and assembles large boxes of ingredients and supplies in prep area.
    • Performs preventative maintenance for machinery, equipment, and implements. Cleans equipment by disassembling and spraying with cleaning and sanitising agent and wiping base. Washes and sanitises parts in 3-compartment sink.
    • Counts product on hand, figures production needs, and documents production on daily form. Fills out time and temperature record forms. Records product to be salvaged, damaged, or destroyed for Manager audit. Completes sanitation checklist after final cleanup.
    • Cleans Deli area by sweeping, mopping, spraying, wiping, scrubbing, low-pressure washing. Empties drain screens, empties trash. Operates trash compactor and cardboard baler.
  • Assists with monthly inventory

Non-Essential Functions and Tasks:

  • Assists with front end duties as necessary.
  • Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
