Your Impact:

Project manage and deliver environmental surveys and impact assessments of terrestrial ecosystems, specifically flora and fauna, biodiversity and habitat; Assist in and supervise field surveys including terrestrial flora and fauna; Production of high-quality technical reports; and Identify issues and problems and develop & deliver appropriate solutions

What you need to succeed

Tertiary qualifications in Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Natural Resources or related field; A minimum of 2 years’ experience in either an environmental consultancy or the public sector including undertaking ecological/environmental surveys and report production; Understanding and application of all relevant legislation that underpins ecological projects; High level flora and fauna identification skills; Ability to use information technology including Microsoft office software and appropriate field equipment; Experience working with a wide range of environmental planning projects; Solid report writing skills; Comprehensive interpersonal and relationship building skills; Driver’s licence essential, 4wd experience and accreditation preferable; Project management skills preferred but not essential; and Flexibility to travel for field work

Additional information

These positions includes both office and fieldwork and you must be physically able to stand and work in the field including in remote areas for extended periods of time.

This position will allow you to continue to develop your knowledge and experience within the environmental field whilst being recognised as a key contributor to various existing and future projects throughout NSW.
