Job Description

Oaks Gladstone Grand Hotel are currently looking for a casual Chef to join our team at our Oaks and Vine Restaurant and Coffee Club Gladstone restaurant. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

Prepare and cook high quality food Supervise and train kitchen staff Assisting in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes Helping to create good communication between FOH and BOH Keep the kitchen organized and clean

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need to:

Hold relevant Certificate III cookery qualifications and previous experience in a similar role. Have knowledge about Modern Australian Cuisine Have knowledge and understanding of HACCP and OH&S Be flexible to work a range of different shifts, including weekends. Be able to work under pressure within a dynamic team environment. Be able to coach and motivate less experienced members of the kitchen team. Be self-motivated and able to work without supervision. Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
