Qualifications & Skills

• Relevant qualification in Agricultural Engineering or a related field.

• 5 years+ experience in coffee production.

• Proven experience in irrigation and nutrition management.

• Processing experience in coffee in both field and milling environments.

• Familiarity with pest and disease management in multiple crops.

• Strong ability to operate agricultural machinery, including forklifts.

• Proficient in data entry and management of agricultural production records.

• Ability to oversee technical aspects of cherry colour sorting.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Farm Manager.

• Assist in the development and implementation of sustainable agricultural practices for coffee cultivation.

• Plan and prepare the annual harvest program, an intensive annual period for the organization.

• Conduct soil analysis and provide recommendations for soil management.

• Monitor and manage irrigation systems to ensure optimal water usage.

• Oversee technical aspects of cherry colour sorting and other specialised equipment.

• Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute planting schedules.

• Monitor and evaluate crop health and implement pest and disease management strategies.

• Assist in the selection and maintenance of farm equipment and machinery.

• Keep accurate records of field activities, crop yields, and other relevant data.

• Provide technical support to farmers and field staff.

• Stay updated on industry trends and research to continually improve agricultural practices.

• Comply with all safety regulations and company policies during fieldwork.
