The Station:
Balfour Downs Station is located less than 200km from the township of Newman which is near the picturesque Karijini National Park in Western Australia.
The Opportunity:
We are looking for two self-motivated and positive Station Hands to join our friendly team based at Balfour Downs Station. This is a permanent, full-time position to start as soon as possible to provide day-to-day support to the Station Managers in all aspects of animal husbandry and maintenance of station infrastructure and machinery.
*Please note:
- No dogs are allowed.
- 4x4 vehicle recommended. Roads not suitable for small cars.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- 2+ years of experience as a station hand.
- Strong confidence and experience as a horse rider.
- Current manual driver’s licence.
- Strong focus on safety and animal welfare.
- Motivation and be hard-working.
- Willingness to be part of a versatile team.
- Ability to pass a National Police Clearance and pre-employment medical assessment.
- Sufficient fitness level to carry out required tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording data.
- Ability to carry out instruction.
