What you’ll be doing

 

As a  Receptionist  working for Kmart Group, you will:     

 

• Operate the Reception desk in a warm and courteous demeanour, ensuring all visitors, contractors, and team members are welcomed professionally.
• Record appropriate details of all incoming visitors and manage visitor access efficiently.
• Handle incoming calls on the Main Kmart Switchboard during defined business hours, directing calls to the appropriate departments or individuals.
• Provide administrative assistance to various parts of the business as needed, showcasing your versatility and willingness to contribute to different tasks.
• Assist in implementing emergency responses and building evacuations, ensuring the safety and security of all individuals in the National Office.
• Be prepared to respond to first aid situations and utilize emergency equipment such as the duress button and fire panel isolation logbook.

     

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

 

• A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
• The ability to interact with visitors and staff in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner, creating a positive experience for all.
• High level of computer literacy, including proficiency with switchboard software and Office suite applications.
• Strong multitasking skills, capable of managing various tasks simultaneously, especially during busy periods.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with visitors, staff, and callers.
• Excellent organizational abilities, allowing you to manage reception duties, administrative tasks, and emergency responses seamlessly.
