We are currently seeking a qualified full-time cook to join our team at Himalayan Indian and Nepalese Restaurant.

The duties will include:

  • Overseeing food served to ensure quality
  • Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
  • Food preparation and food Seasoning
  • Dividing food, plating, adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
  • Storing food in temperature-controlled units
  • Preparing food as per clients dietary requirements
  • Planning menus with Chef and Owner/Manager.

Requirements:

  • At least a Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ relevant experience
  • Ability to work unsupervised and in a team.
  • Understanding of OH&S and food hygiene requirements

This position is full time (38 hours per week)

Location - 2/105 High St, Hastings VIC 3915

Salary $70,000 per year
