Welding Inspector

UGL has a short-term opportunity for a highly experienced Welding Inspector to join our site based team in Karratha on a 2/2 roster commencing April 2024.
This role will entail 100% weld inspection and surveillance under a golden weld scenario being conducted in a valve pit for 10 hours a day.
Point of Hire will be Perth only.
About the Role:
- Be familiar with safety, quality and construction or maintenance regulations, standards, procedures and requirements
- Ensure that the standard of workmanship is compliant with the specifications and that specified inspections and tests are conducted and records maintained to substantiate conformance
- Ensure that the quality requirements of the client are adhered to and that Company procedures are followed, and sign off on team’s quality documentation
- Ensure correct material, machinery, equipment and personnel are available and suitable for completion of work
About you
- Knowledge of Quality and Safety systems
- Knowledge of Maintenance Management methodologies, tools and techniques.
- Experience working in a contractor organization.
- Knowledge and application of maintenance performance measurement systems.
- Demonstrated Experience with Welding/pipe and mechanical fitting is essential
- Must have a Certificate 10 in Welding Supervision.
- Certificate CSWIP 3.2 is desirable
