About You :

  • 3-5 years experience as a qualified Boilermaker
  • Welder or Boilermaker apprenticeship and other applicable certifications

Position Summary :

The Boilermaker is responsible with the safe and effective operation of company equipment and machines in order to create a range of products that are either final goods to be used in a range of other products.

As a FABCON Boilermaker, you will be part of a dynamic fabrication team using the very latest tools and equipment, with unrivalled support that will enable you to focus on delivering quality workmanship.

The successful candidate will be reliable, trustworthy and committed, have excellent and proven strong work ethic, and possess the ability to work effectively under the instruction of a Workshop Foreman. 

Key Requirements :

  • Must have 3-5 years experience as a qualified Boilermaker
  • Work onsite when required
  • Understand of safe and effective operation of different welding machines and other tools required to conduct job and projects
  • Knowledge of applicable safety equipment and safe practices to minimise the risk of injury or damage
  • Knowledge and certification of forklift and other mobile machinery is desirable
  • Experience following company policies and procedures
  • Team player and effective communication skills to be able to assist other workers as required
  • Able to adequately predict how much time will be needed for a particular project
  • Must have valid drivers licence and own vehicle

Job Responsibility :

  • Do all the fabrication required for the manufacturing of products or other activities as required
  • Make sure that all the equipment is kept clean and in safe operating condition
  • Report any problems with any tools or machines if it is broken, needs maintenance, or other issues in order to keep everything safe
  • Keep the working area, shop, and yard free from any unnecessary hazards and make sure that company safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Help out managers or other staff members if they need assistance on any tasks or projects
  • Continuously learn new techniques and safe practices
  • Help out with other duties as required
