Australian Christian College (ACC) is a protestant non-denominational, Christian Education organisation, whose mission is to develop each and every student to be equipped spiritually, academically, socially and physically to flourish into their full potential, and be a positive influence on the world around them.
ACC is part of Christian Education Ministries, with 14 schools in 5 states, and is also the largest non-government Distance Education provider in Australia.
ACC Singleton (ACCS) is located in the beautiful Hunter Valley region of New South Wales. Offering programs from Prep to Year 12, ACCS has been operating for over 12 years. The College has experienced considerable growth in student numbers and improvement in student learning results in recent years. During 2025 work will commence on a new 18 classroom building that will help accommodate the growth in student numbers from 420 to 600 students over the next 5 years.

About the role
The improvement and growth of our College in recent years has been impressive. To assist in the next exciting phase of our development, applications are sought for suitably qualified and experienced educational leaders for the position of Deputy Principal.
The successful applicant will be a leader who has the energy, drive and commitment to help further develop and improve our school community. The Deputy Principal will be able to motivate staff to be excellent teachers, encourage innovation and collaboration in professional practice, think and operate strategically, respond with measure and professionalism in all situations and be able to lead others through change effectively.

This role reports directly to the Principal, is full-time and will commence in January 2025.
Requirements
About You
To be successful, you will be able to:
- Actively support the Principal in leading and maintaining a well-run school ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students, staff and visitors.
- Maintain strong relationships with all members of the school community, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
- Be able to demonstrate excellent teaching as described by the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and with the capacity to modify leadership behaviours based on experiences and feedback.
- Display a high level of emotional intelligene and resilience, with the interpersonal skills and courage to have challenging conversations with respect and professionalism.
- Display excellent organisation skills and the ability to think strategically, plan and implement actions and evaluate impact.
- Capacity to plan, deliver and review professional learning.
- Be passionate about school improvement, including the creation of systems, processes and procedures that improve our school operation.
- Have an active Christian faith
- Have suitable tertiary qualifications with a preference for a postgraduate qualification in leadership, pedagogy or business administration.
- Hold a current Employee Working with Children Check and NESA accreditation (or be eligible).
