An exciting opportunity exists to join the Allied Health team at The Melbourne Clinic.  We are currently seeking suitably qualified art therapist to join our multidisciplinary team and provide evidence-based interventions to support a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, substance use, trauma, eating disorders, OCD and neurodevelopmental conditions.

The successful applicant will work initially in a casual capacity at The Melbourne Clinic, Richmond, Victoria, and report to the Living Well Program Manager and coordinator of their discipline.

You will work with the team to achieve operational goals and maintain clinical integrity of therapeutic programs

Key Responsibilities:

·         Facilitate groups within the Living Well Program and other specialist programs as required.

·         Participate in the development and review of programs as necessary

·         Participate in Quality Improvement Activities

Selection Criteria:

·         Appropriate qualifications in art therapy

·         Registration ANZACATA (professional tier)

·         Clinical experience in the provision of evidence-based interventions in mental health settings,

·         Exceptional time management and communication skills, and ability to work autonomously,

·         Proven skill in the facilitation of therapeutic programs and ability to work collabortaively within a multi-disciplinary team,

·         Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends

Desirable

·         Working knowledge of evidence-based therapies such as DBT and/or ACT.

·         Artistic skills in drawing or painting or another 2D art modality
