About Orica's Specialist Asset Integrity team:

Orica's centralised Specialist Asset Integrity team is essential to our business. This team of Engineering Specialists ensures the longevity, reliability, and safety of assets and equipment across our global manufacturing facilities.

They solve complex issues, monitor and maintain assets throughout their lifecycle.

About the role

We are seeking a Specialist Engineer - Rotating Equipment Integrity to join our Specialist Asset Integrity team. This role can be based in Brisbane or Newcastle, with a standard Mon-Fri roster. Flexible working arrangements are available, as well as occasional national and international travel.

The Specialist Engineer - Rotating Equipment Integrity will specialize in maintaining and optimizing our rotating equipment assets. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and performance of our machinery across our manufacturing sites.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and implement integrity management strategies for rotating equipment;
  • Establish and maintain effective equipment integrity programs;
  • Analyze equipment performance data and optimize reliability;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on asset reliability improvement initiatives;
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to maintenance teams and stakeholders;
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field;
  • Extensive experience in integrity management and reliability engineering for rotating equipment;
  • In-depth knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices;
  • Proficiency in conducting inspections, condition assessments, and failure investigations;
  • Solid understanding of maintenance and repair practices for rotating equipment.
