If you are looking for an opportunity to work in a supportive team environment where your contribution will be valued, this is the job for you. We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Tradesperson to join our close knit and supportive team.

Your Role

Ideally, trade qualified and with previous maintenance experience you will assist in developing preventative maintenance strategies. Consideration would be given to a non-qualified highly experienced Trade Assistant.

  • Contribute towards the safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance routines.
  • Ability in identifying the Root Cause of equipment failures.
  • Timely and effective resolution of plant failures
  • Partake in capital and improvement projects.
  • Able to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Follow WHS directives.

Benefits:

  • $45-47.00 per hour + superannuation + overtime
  • Base hours Monday-Friday 6am-2.30pm
  • Full-time position; paid annual and personal sick leave entitlements.
  • Experienced and respectful management team who are keen to develop your skill set.

To Succeed

  • Significant experience as a Maintenance Fitter, preferably manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge and application of preventative maintenance strategies
  • A great attitude and genuine desire to produce high quality results.
  • High level knowledge & commitment to WHS and risk management
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills.
  • Formal Trade qualifications preferred.
  • MMAW & MIG welding skills (TIG optional)
  • Hydraulics and Pneumatics training and experience
  • Forklift ticket advantageous.
  • Reliable transport

You will be required to complete a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.
