In this full-time role, inaddition to driving an Agitator, we are looking for a driver who is keen to train as an Allocator in the plant as well to work in a relief capacity as required. This cross-training offers an excellent opportunity for career progressionwithin the business.
Aboutthe role:
Most days will start between 4am and 6am and drivers can do up to and over 10 hours per day, and around 50 – 55 hours per week. Saturday work is generally available, paid at overtime rates
We pay a base rate for the first 8 hours of your day. Once you go past those 8 hours, the next two will be at time and a half. If you do more than 10 hours in a day, you go to double time. Meal allowances are generally paid after 10 hours in one shift
As we mentioned, driving an Agi is like being a Customer Service Agent on wheels. You will be dealing with lots of different personalities every day, so you need to be comfortable interacting with people you haven’t met before
We provide cutting edge technology to not only keep you safe whilst driving, but also to help you map your routes and keep track of your loads
All new starts go through a 10-day training program before we let you loose by yourself

You enjoy meeting people and having a chat with them when you’re onsite
You prefer variety in your working life. No two days are ever the same when you’re driving one of our Agi trucks
You take pride in the appearance of your truck. Keep it clean, give it a wash and present the best image of our company. You are a mobile billboard and people notice a dirty truck
Able to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test (random testing is also conducted on all Hanson sites)
Some of our trucks have driver weight limits on their seats and seatbelts. For safety reasons, you may be required to be under a specified weight for these trucks In the Allocator space, an ability to think on the go, crunch numbers and solve problems is essential, you would also be very comfortable using computers.
