The Role 

  • This role will be responsible for implementing and driving Data Governance initiatives across UniSuper.
  • Strong relationships will be the key to success in this role and Data Governance at UniSuper.
  • The role will be seen as a leader of Data Governance and be a representative to UniSuper projects, Enterprise Data team, Data Office and Technology forums as required.

The Opportunity

  • Ensure Data Governance policies, procedures and standards are in place to support the Data Governance Framework and are operationalised across the organisation
  • Ensure UniSuper has the tools and processes in place to allow the business to be compliant with data obligations including APRA’s CPS 234, CPG 235 and Australian Privacy Laws.
  • Represent Data Governance in internal and external audits, analysing and actioning audit items
  • Support the Data Owners and Data Stewards on their Data Governance journey, including defining and clarifying their roles and responsibilities
  • Work with Data Owners, Stewards and Citizens to develop their skills and confidence to be strong data representatives
  • Implement Data Governance processes, frameworks, policies, and standards across the business
  • Alongside the Data Governance Manager, the role will be responsible for ensuring all data governance policies, standards, and procedures are communicated, understood, and adhered to

About You 

  • Expert level in Communication with the ability to engage all areas of the business with varying degrees of data literacy
  • Advanced level in Stakeholder Management in developing partnership relationships and influence stakeholder’s attitudes, decisions, and actions for mutual benefit.
  • Advanced level in Leadership to confidently drive companywide Data Governance change and initiatives
  • Advanced level in Understanding the data (technology) side and the business side of Data Management and Data Governance
