You will be responsible for operating mineral processing equipment and numerous scientific instruments to provide accurate analysis results and to monitor quality requirements.

The successful applicants will have:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a laboratory associated with the mining industry.
  • Experience with using ICP-OES and sample preparation of solutions for ICP analysis.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in sample preparation of powder & metallic samples.
  • Experience using and operating a laboratory information management system (LIMS).
  • Experience using an Arc Spark OES.
  • Experience with Glow Discharge Mass Spectrometry (GDMS) will be highly regarded.
  • Experience in using Milling machines and lathes would also be advantageous.
You will also possess a proactive approach and strong focus to safety, sound communication and interpersonal skills, as well as high attention to detail, and the ability to problem solve. You will have a self-starting attitude and be able to accept individual responsibility within a small work team.
