Our client is seeking one (1) Personal Care Assistant to join their team in Holden Hill, South Australia.  

Rehab Care Australia is South Australia owned (Adelaide based) disability provider that offers a wide range of NDIS Disability Services. Rehab Care Australia has built a reputation for providing clients with seamless access to the very best home and community services to support all NDIS needs. The team provides support to participants, and their families to achieve positive outcomes in a space that is supporting and provide Home and Community Support, Therapy services, Support Coordination and Accommodation and respite care. They have an in-house team of experienced Support Coordinators who ensure clients NDIS plan is used successfully. Their ambition is to build your skill set and to assist you to make the best-informed choices about how to structure your funding. 

Tasks required include:

  • Delivering tailored care and assistance to our participants, such as personal hygiene, medication management, and daily living activities.
  • Assistance in personal care - showering, dressing, hygiene
  • Assistance with rehabilitation exercises
  • Supporting and assisting clients with their mobility
  • Developing relationships with participants and families to provide emotional support
  • Excellent communication skills to promote social skills
  • Committed, compassionate and eager to always support
  • Providing safe surroundings and assistance with medication
  • Monitoring participant progress and reporting any changes or concerns as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Disability/Individual Support/Mental Health or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of prior relevant working experience
  • Medication Administration Accreditation
  • Valid Driver Licence
  • First Aid and CPR
  • Manual Handling Training is desirable
  • CPI/MAPA/Mental Health First Aid is desirable
  • Any additional trainings such as PEG/Bowel/Diabetes is an advantage
  • 100 Points ID.
