Job Description

  • Knowledge with data analytics and tools/techniques
  • Understanding of data modeling and data visualisation best practices.
  • Proficiency in data analysis techniques, including statistical analysis and data mining.
  • Familiarity with ETL (Extract, transform, load) processes and data integration frameworks.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, querying and manipulation
  • Understanding of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and their role in data integration
  • Familiarity with various data presentation layer - excel, BI tools (Power BI/Tableau Etc)

Key stakeholder management

The Successful Applicant

· Work with business stakeholders to understand their reporting and data needs and develop effective BI solutions.

· Help to develop dataflows and datasets that are high quality and well-modelled.

· Assist with business uptake of BI reports, dashboards, self-service and digital literacy.

· Monitor the performance and stability of existing reports, datasets and dataflows.

· Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability.

· Develop professional documentation, including but not limited to report requirement and technical design documents.

· Maintain awareness of industry best practice and emerging technologies to enhance company standards, products and capability.

· Understand, work within, and contribute to procedures and data standards and governance.

· Collaborate with data stewards and other professionals to design solutions or resolve issues.

· Undertake additional duties as required and during period of leave of other staff.
