Are you an experienced Perioperative Enrolled Nurse (EN) looking to expand your skillset and lean into a higher acuity setting?

Newcastle Private are seeking an experienced EN in Instrument/Circulating (Scrub/Scout) to join our team.

About us
Come and join our expert team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and allied health professionals at Newcastle Private Hospital.  We are a 189 bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. The hospital has 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15 bed Intensive Care Unit.

We also have a cardiac suite including a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16 bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery is available for families in the Newcastle region. Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge.

About you:

·     A Minimum of 2 years’ experience post registration in a Perioperative setting as an EN

·     Experience with Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery is highly beneficial

·     Current APHRA registration

·     Have a Working with Children Check

·     Must have IV Endorsement as an Enrolled Nurse

·     Motivated to drive your career and learn to work in a high acuity environment

·     Demonstrated time management & organisational skills with the ability to meet objectives/timelines

·     Excellent communication and customer service skills

·     Ability to work well independently and within a team

·     Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement

Remuneration: This position will be paid in accordance with the Healthscope - NSWNMA/ANMF - NSW Nurses’ and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024 and will pay between $33.09 - $35.93 per hour
