Montefiore is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our Catering Department on our Hunters Hill campus.
The Role
As a member of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing high quality food and service to our residents. You will oversee the quality of all food prepared in the Kitchen and also oversee the presentation for service of all menu content.
Key Responsibilities:
Adherence to budgeted food costs Control of food cost, wastage, and spoilage Purchasing of food product under the direction of the Head Chef Stock rotation and security Assist the Head Chef with staff rostering and wage management of all Kitchen production, stewarding and servery personnel Maintaining and promoting clean and hygienic work practices Ensure all Kitchen and servery areas comply with hygienic standards to prevent contamination of any kind Compliance to HACCP food preparation standards Assist the Head Chef with training, development, motivation, and management of all Kitchen staff Oversee maintenance and cleaning of all machinery, equipment, and utensilsEssential Criteria:
Minimum 5 years cooking experience Solid culinary skills acquired through formal training A recognised qualification within hospitality Can-do attitude Strong leadership ability Team player with the desire to grow and mentor other employees Excellent communication skills Understand the needs and expectations of our residents, who are our primary focus within the HomeDesirable Criteria:
Experience working in an aged care setting Qualification in Hotel or Commercial CateringAbout Us:
