Mine Maintenance

You will be responsible for :
  • Foster a unified "team" atmosphere within maintenance personnel to align with Mining Department objectives
  • Optimize resource management to minimize costs effectively
  • Contribute maintenance insights for equipment selection to enhance mining fleet performance
  • Encourage innovation and employee engagement to drive continuous improvement in work practices
  • Ensure strict adherence to quality control procedures in line with equipment manufacturer recommendations
  • Efficiently oversee Mining RIMS components throughout the dispatch process on site
  • Prioritize on-the-job safety protocols and compliance requirements
  • Monitor work tasks closely and provide assistance in resolving any associated issues promptly
  • Support in the setup and review of planned daily tasks for maintenance activities
  • Conduct toolbox talks and team safety meetings to promote a safety-conscious work environment

About You
This role would suit a mechanically proficient leader. You will also have:
  • Trade Certificate in Heavy Duty Mechanics
  • WA ‘C’ ‘HR’ class drivers’ licence
  • Cert IV in Front line management (preferred)
  • High Risk Work Forklift licence
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Lead Hand or similar in heavy earthmoving
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in mining of similar size and scale
  • Experience on Caterpillar and Hitachi heavy equipment
  • Strong leadership and motivational experience
  • Experience in safety, quality, environmental and maintenance management systems
  • Demonstrated application of continuous improvement ideas
  • Good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels
  • Confident communicator with senior management, legal entities, and external stakeholders
